Sri Namagiri Lakshmi’s eyes are lotus, face is lotus, and mouth is lotus hands are lotus, feet are lotus and her sight is merciful. She has 4 hands .She is also holding the lotusesin two hands. One hand is blessing the devotees and another hand showing her lotus feet’s .She is instructing the devotees to surrender all their worries in her lotus feet’s .The city was named as NAMAKKAL by the name of Goddess Sri NAMAGIRI Lakshmi only.( GIRI means hills in Sanskrit. It is translated in Tamil as KAL so NAMA+KAL = NAMAKKAL).
