Hiranyaksha challenged Lord Vishnu in the Boar form to have
battle with him but Vishnu ignored all his warnings and
continued rising to the surface. Seeing this Hiranyaksha gave a
chase, but the boar didn't even look back. The boar brought the
earth over the surface of the ocean and placed Bhoomidevi
(Mother Earth) gently on it and blessed her. He then turned to
face Hiranyaksha. The demon threw his mace at the boar but the
boar stepped aside and raised his mace. A dreadful fight
followed between them.
The demigods witnessed this terrible fight. It went on from
morning till evening. Brahma was very anxious to see the fight
finished, before darkness fell (as darkness approaches, the
strength of Rakshasas, grows). As though he read Brahma's
thoughts, the divine boar smiled and sent his disc (the Chakra)
whirling towards Hiranyaksha. This mighty weapon destroyed all
weapons of Hiranyaksha.
Seeing all his weapons destroyed by the boar, Hiranyaksha's
anger rose high and he rushed forward roaring with anger to
crush Hari in his arms. Then the divine boar threw a gigantic
mace towards Hiranyaksha's cheek. The Mace hit the demon with
stunning speed with which, he collapsed in to peaces and died
with horrible cry.
Thus
the evil was outdone and also mother earth was safely restored
in her place and Heaven returned to Devatas. With great joy,
Lord Sri Sweta Varaha lifted mother earth in his two arms and
coming up the water level of the ocean. Lord Brahma and other
demigods got the dharsan of Lord Sri Sweta Varaha with Boomi
Devi ( Mother Earth ) on his hands. By having this wonderful
dharsan, Lord Brahma worshipped Lord Sri Vishnu with new name
“Lord Sri Boo Varaha Swami “. All the four Veda’s got released
from the control of demon and came out of the ocean. They
started pricing the Lord in many ways by standing in the sky.
Then, the Kaliyug ( 4th time slice of the universe life time
where truth is followed very less in the world, people always
think bad, behave arrogant etc., ) has started. By noticing the
Kaliyug started, Lord Sri Boo Varaha Swami hided his lotus feet
from visibility.
Once this Kaliyug is passed, Lord Sri Boo Varaha Swami will show
his lotus feet for worship. Goddess Sri Nila Devi and Adhi
Shesha ( King of all snakes and he serves Lord Sri Vishnu in all
the ways ) are waiting for the dharsan of Lord Sri Boo Varaha
Swami’s lotus feets.
Glories and specialties of Lord Sri Boo Varaha Swami
Lord Sri Boo Varaha Swami is full of mercy. One who wishes to
gain great physical and mental strength should worship the Lord
with red lotuses and offer pure honey.
Keshava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari, who have assumed
the form of a boar! All glories to you! The earth, which had
become immersed in the Garbhodaka Ocean at the bottom of the
universe, sits fixed upon the tip of your tusk like a spot upon
the moon. (Sri Jayadeva's Dasavatara-stotra 3)
Boar-bodied, foe of the demon (Hiranyaksha), holder of the earth
(on the tip of the tusk), possessor of excellent limbs (serving
as means of sacrifice), I salute you. (Sri Madhvacharya's
Dvadasha-Stotra 4.4)

"Although in His Varaha incarnation, many oceans could hardly
even fill the Lord's hair follicles, Yashodamayi bathed that
same lotus-eyed Lord (i.e., Shri Krishna) with just the water
contained in her two joined palms." --Krishna-karnamritam, 2.27.
